Responsibilities 

  • Ideate, pitch, and create content for WWE social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Snapchat, Threads, and WhatsApp 
  • Assist with live social media coverage for WWE weekly shows and Premium Live Events, as needed 
  • Support social content organization initiatives by implementing metadata structures to track content and monitor performance 
  • Write clear, grammatically accurate, and polished social copy with minimal edits required 
  • Assist with day-to-day content execution and coordination to support broader social media initiatives 

Qualifications 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines 
  • Comfortable working a non-traditional schedule, including select nights and weekends 
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to independently conceive and execute compelling content 
  • Working knowledge of WWE programming, talent, and storylines preferred

Program Details 

We offer internship opportunities across IMG, On Location, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), TKO Corporate, UFC, and WWE. Locations include New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Raleigh, Dallas, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, and Stamford, CT. All internships are in the office and in-person, unless otherwise noted. 

In addition to hands-on experience and exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns participate in events such as welcome/farewell sessions, a speaker series featuring company leaders, and career training workshops addressing everything from LinkedIn profile enhancement to resume building, interviewing skills, and networking

Internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the intern location.  

Important Dates 

  • By February 2nd: Internships are posted to our career sites. 
  • February 28th: Applications will be accepted through this date. 
  • March 1st to March 27th: Recruiters will contact candidates and begin the interview process. 
  • March 30th to April 17th: Offers will be extended to selected candidates. 
  • May 18th: Program start date.  
  • The program will be 12 weeksin length, May 18th through August 7th.

Recruitment Process 

Our process consists of four steps. 

  • 1. Tell us your story. In addition to your application and resume, please attach a word document and in 300 words max, share why you’re interested in the role. What are the unique perspectives, abilities, and qualities you would bring to the role? What do you hope to learn? 
  • 2. Video Interview with a Recruiter. If selected for the next round, you will be contacted by the recruiting team to schedule a 30-minute video interview. 
  • 3. Video Interview with the Hiring Manager. If selected to move forward, you will meet with the hiring manager and potentially 1-2 additional team members. 
  • 4. Offer or Decline. If selected for the position, a recruiter will call to extend an offer. If you have not been selected, a recruiter will reach out to let you know.

Our program is designed for rising juniors, rising seniors, and those within six months of graduation from an undergraduate university, unless otherwise noted.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT.

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Ability to work within a team as a self-starting individual and collaborator.
  • Strong editorial judgment and an interest in the world of sports.
  • Willingness to learn new sports/skills/platforms.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (Drupal, WordPress), as well as MPX, YouTube publishing, and Adobe Photoshop all a plus.
  • Strong understanding of AP Style and solid writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to balance multiple priorities.

The hourly rate for student interns is $19.00.
