Athletic Communications Spring Semester Internship Applications Now Open

The Athletic Communications Office ON CAMPUS is offering 3-5 junior and senior students an internship opportunity to work for our office.

The University of Hartford Athletic Communications Office is seeking reliable and motivated junior and senior students who are interested in one or more of the following areas:

Broadcasting
Camera Work / Production
Photography
Social Media / Marketing
Sports Writing
Statistics

Candidates should be enthusiastic, organized, and have a willing to learn. Interns will assist with game-day operations and help create content for HartfordHawks.com and our social media platforms.

These students will get a day-to-day experience in working in a sports communications office and will create the content directly for the University of Hartford Athletic Teams!

HarperCollins Publishers: 2026 Spring Internship – Marketing & Publicity (Remote)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation of promotional materials like press releases, sell sheets, and giveaway forms
  • Assist with the creation of content and captions for social media
  • Contribute to research projects
  • Assist with outreach to media and social media creators
  • The intern is invited to participate in various staff meetings and give opinions and ideas regarding promotional strategies for our books
  • The intern is invited to attend and listen into various meetings with authors and agents
  • The intern is invited to request specific projects of interest throughout the internship

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
  • Candidates must be available to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days, from February 9 to April 17, 2026, at the location specified in the job description. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued!
  • A can-do attitude, love of books, and interest in marketing and publicity
  • Must have good time management skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing effectively
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • General internet research skills
