Hartford Wolf Pack Game Night Media Assistant

The Hartford Wolf Pack are currently seeking a Game Night Media Assistant to help with social media and broadcasting for the 2022-23 American Hockey League (AHL) season. This will be a hands-on experience, providing the selected person the chance to gain relevant experience in the field.

This position will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager and Manager of Broadcasting and Public Relations throughout the course of the Wolf Pack season.

Tasks associated with this position may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the arrival of all credentialed scouts and media to each Wolf Pack home game.

• Assist in the production of highlight packages for local and national news outlets.

• Assist with written postgame stories for http://www.hartfordwolfpack.com.

• Assist with in-game social media responsibilities on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Requirements:

• Work ALL Hartford Wolf Pack home games during the 2022-23 season. There are 36 home games during the 2022-23 season. A successful applicant must be willing to work weekends, holidays and nights.

• Strong knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok), Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and After Effects).

• A strong hockey knowledge and interest in the game is highly recommended and encouraged for this position.

• A strong written ability. The selected intern will have multiple writing opportunities on the team’s official website.

• The selected applicant must conduct themselves with a professional attitude and appearance at all times while at the XL Center.

• A strong verbal/broadcasting ability is not required but is encouraged.

The Governor M. Jodi Rell Center for Public Service

· Launch, extend, and promote the Rell Center podcast

Bob Stefanowski’s Gubernatorial Campaign

Communications – Assists the communication director in managing a unified campaign message across several communication channels. Interns will be exposed to tv, radio, print, and digital advertising aspects of a campaign, along with policy communication decisions. A good candidate for this role is studying or interested in pursuing a career in communications.

Field Operations – Assists the deputy campaign manager and regional political directors in the execution of a broad spectrum of field operations that include but are not limited to event planning, voter outreach, voter data collection, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer management. Interns will get an excellent working knowledge of what it takes to run a political ground campaign. A stand-out candidate for this role is an excellent verbal communicator with great organizational skills.

Digital Operations – Assists the digital operations manager in daily tasks of running the digital advertising, website operations, campaign email communications, and data management. Interns will gain a working knowledge of campaign-specific software such as i360 and have a chance to work on various digital advertising campaigns. A good candidate would be familiar with social media algorithms and have experience with image/video processing software comprising the Adobe Suite. Website building experience is a plus. Interns will walk away with a plethora of experience working in a quick pace digital environment, knowledge of industry-specific software, and digital advertising budget management.
