Our partners at Warner Bros. Discovery are hiring new interns for the Spring 2023 semester! The Warner Bros. Discovery University Relations team will be hosting their first ever Virtual Internship Exploration Week (VIEW) where students will get the opportunity to join sessions that allow them to explore the world beyond the classroom.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
Desired Characteristics:
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Strong interest in the media industry.
Commitment to building an inclusive work environment.
Previous internship experience and on-campus involvement.
Strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of current affairs.
Desired majors: Journalism or Broadcast Journalism, Digital/New Media Studies, Communications, Political Science, Production, Social Media, English, Business, Meteorology.
POLITICO’s New York team is seeking an editorial intern for summer 2023. The intern — working both virtually and from our Lower Manhattan office — will play a critical role in our coverage of Mayor Eric Adams, the City Council and politics and policy in America’s biggest city.

What You’ll Do:
Pitch, report and write stories of consequence, both for our audience of influential professionals in New York and POLITICO’s wider national readership.
Cover spots news as assigned by editors.
Work with our New York Playbook team to write and produce our daily newsletter on politics in the state.
The intern will be involved in all aspects of content creation and production, including research, reporting, writing, editing and aggregating. Some of this work will occur in early morning hours.
What You’ll Need:
A can-do attitude, initiative, good time management and the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong critical thinking skills and a desire to not only develop your own story ideas but explain their broader meaning to a sophisticated audience.
The ability to write quickly and cleanly while on deadline.
Prior hands-on experience as an intern at a professional news outlet and, ideally, experience working on a student publication.
A passion for politics and policy and a thirst to learn how New York works.
A commitment to fair-minded, nonpartisan journalism.
