We’re looking for interns who are passionate about telling stories and will seize the opportunity to learn from our award-winning journalists. You’ll gain hands-on reporting experience, conduct interviews, dig into data and collaborate with colleagues in our bureaus across the world.

We operate as one newsroom – a collaborative and diverse environment where print, digital and broadcast come together to produce the most accurate content for our readers.

You’ll need to have: A passion for news and/or a willingness to dig in and learn about global financial markets, companies and economies Strong curiosity, a keen interest to learn about the world and uncover surprises

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Prior experience and/or demonstrated interest in journalism through work experience or extracurricular activities Availability to work up to 40 hours a week, in-person/onsite in our NYC or Washington DC office for 10 weeks, beginning in June 2024

Minimum three years of undergraduate study completed Please highlight if any of the following are present; fluency in a foreign language, multi-platform skills, and data journalism/coding experience.

Find your story in our books!The Marketing department develops and implements creative marketing campaigns including advertising, social media, and bookstore displays. Marketers work closely with sales to learn what’s happening in the market and, to help them promote and share their enthusiasm about books and writers.Some responsibilities may include:

  • Researching new media contacts, influencer, and brand partnerships for title marketing campaigns
  • Collaborating with the team to create content for author and imprint social media platforms
  • Assisting in select marketing book mailings (remotely)
  • Attending team meetings to help brainstorm promotional opportunities for titles

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity available in our adult, children’s, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series!Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $20/hour.What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry. Game Night Media Assistant – Hartford Wolf Pack (Hartford · CT)

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager and Manager of Broadcasting and Public Relations throughout the course of the Wolf Pack season. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the arrival of all credentialed scouts and media to each Wolf Pack home game
  • Assist in the recording and production of postgame press conferences with Wolf Pack coaches and players
  • Assist with written postgame stories for http://www.hartfordwolfpack.com
  • Assist with in-game social media responsibilities on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Assist with potential on-air duties such as intermission reports

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

 Game Night Media Assistant must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  •  Work ALL Hartford Wolf Pack home games during the 2023-24 season and all potential home Calder Cup Playoff games. There are 36 home games during the 2023-24 season. A successful applicant must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Strong knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok), Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and After Effects). Editing experience is required. 
  • A strong hockey knowledge and interest in the game is highly recommended and encouraged for this position.
  • A strong written ability. The selected intern will have multiple writing opportunities on the team’s official website.
  • The selected applicant must conduct themselves with a professional attitude and appearance at all times while at the XL Center.
  • A strong verbal/broadcasting ability is not required but is encouraged for potential on-air opportunities.
