Marketers work closely with sales to learn what’s happening in the market and, to help them promote and share their enthusiasm about books and writers.Some responsibilities may include:

  • Researching new media contacts, influencer, and brand partnerships for title marketing campaigns
  • Collaborating with the team to create content for author and imprint social media platforms
  • Assisting in select marketing book mailings (remotely)
  • Attending team meetings to help brainstorm promotional opportunities for titles

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity available in our adult, children’s, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series!Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $20/hour.What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry. Manufacturing Marketing Intern

The State of Connecticut, Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is hiring for a part time Manufacturing Marketing Intern (Cooperative Education Intern) to lead the marketing efforts for the Office of Manufacturing.

  • Minimum hours of work: 15 hours/week, maximum hours of work: 20 hours/week
  • This position has a flexible schedule, with virtual work and in office work required at 450 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford

THE ROLE

The incumbent will receive practical training in application of theories and concepts relevant to work of the employing agency. This individual will assist professional staff in performance of their duties and complete independent assignments as necessary. This individual will also:

  • Work with staff to improve, and keep current, website content
  • Ensure that consistent messaging and branding are used
  • Write attention-grabbing copy within a crowded digital space
  • Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns and future recommendations
  • Curate and actively promote social media posts, video content, webinars, podcasts, etc.
  • Collaborate with DECD team members, across various units, to ensure digital projects are completed effectively and efficiently
  • Facilitate the use of a ‘constant contact’ platform
  • Develop, present, and execute content changes on departmental media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Brainstorms public relations, marketing, social media and advertising campaign ideas
  • Facilitate tradeshow, employment fair, and other offsite events
