Paid Copywriter Internship at Cronin (Advertising Agency) Summer ’26

This position is hybrid, must be able to travel into the office in Glastonbury, CT.

As an intern, you’ll be responsible for putting your sharp wit, clever problem solving and impeccable writing skills to work to help create top-notch copy for various projects, from social media posts and print materials to video scripts and full-blown campaigns.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Brainstorm and collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts for marketing campaigns that pack a punch  
  • Cleverly craft engaging copy that captures a brand’s voice and personality  
  • Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure materials are accurate, informative and impactful  
  • Contribute to the development of social media content, blog posts and other digital copy  
  • Assist with various administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed  


Requirements: 

  • A portfolio that showcases your passion, personality, creativity and talent for voice  
  • A passion for writing and creating content that inspires, entertains and informs  
  • A knack for storytelling and finding the perfect turn of phrase  
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment  
  • A sense of humor and willingness to bring your unique perspective to the table  
  • Duration of internship: June 8 – August 14, 2026, commitment of 20+ hours per week (Monday through Friday, Tuesdays are mandatory).   
  • All Internships are paid at $16.94/hour.   
  • Must be currently enrolled in college at the time of applying. Most internships are open to rising juniors and seniors, new college graduates, and grad students.

Department

The Original Content & Documentaries team produces all of the original WWE entertainment content for A&E, Netflix and a variety of other partners. This group is at the center of storytelling for WWE producing countless original series and documentaries for its network and streaming partners. Some of its shows include the Legends and Future Greats (LFG), WWE Rivals, WWE Greatest Moments, Biography series, Raw Classics, Road to WrestleMania, and so much more.  

Responsibilities

  • This person will learn the production process from concept to air inclusive of interviews, shoots, pulling footage, editing, and creating compelling stories for all of WWE’s original content and documentaries. 
  • Interns will have the opportunity to learn and observe during interviews, camera shoots, concept pitches, and collaboration across an amazing team of people. 
  • Every day is different given the fast pace and interesting, high-quality content this team creates. 
  • This is a dream job for students interested in careers paths in production for original content. WWE has compiled an extensive library of footage and incredible content over the last 7+ decades.

Program Details

We offer internship opportunities across IMG, On Location, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), TKO Corporate, UFC, and WWE. Locations include New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Raleigh, Dallas, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, and Stamford, CT. All internships are in the office and in-person, unless otherwise noted.

In addition to hands-on experience and exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns participate in events such as welcome/farewell sessions, a speaker series featuring company leaders, and career training workshops addressing everything from LinkedIn profile enhancement to resume building, interviewing skills, and networking.

Internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the intern location.

Important Dates

  • By February 2nd: Internships are posted to our career sites.
  • February 28th: Applications will be accepted through this date.
  • March 1st to March 27th: Recruiters will contact candidates and begin the interview process.
  • March 30th to April 17th: Offers will be extended to selected candidates.
  • May 18th: Program start date.
  • The program will be 12 weeks in length, May 18th through August 7th

Recruitment Process

Our process consists of four steps.

  • 1. Tell us your story. In addition to your application and resume, please attach a word document and in 300 words max, share why you’re interested in the role. What are the unique perspectives, abilities, and qualities you would bring to the role? What do you hope to learn?
  • 2. Video Interview with a Recruiter. If selected for the next round, you will be contacted by the recruiting team to schedule a 30-minute video interview.
  • 3. Video Interview with the Hiring Manager. If selected to move forward, you will meet with the hiring manager and potentially 1-2 additional team members.
  • 4. Offer or Decline. If selected for the position, a recruiter will call to extend an offer. If you have not been selected, a recruiter will reach out to let you know.

Our program is designed for rising juniors, rising seniors, and those within six months of graduation from an undergraduate university, unless otherwise noted.
