MSL 2023 Graduate Fellowship

The program is specifically designed to be a summer of learning through hands on client opportunities, exposure to the people and the strategy that move our business forward, and the chance to become a permanent part of the MSL Family.

MSL U.S. is excited to kick off our 2023 Graduate Fellowship program. The program is specifically designed to be a summer of learning through hands on client opportunities, exposure to the people and the strategy that move our business forward, and the chance to become a permanent part of the MSL Family. Our goal is to make sure that this summer won’t just be the most educational experience you’ve ever had, but the first chapter in a dynamic career at a hands on, fast paced agency.

MSL is different.  Our fellowship isn’t about taking lunch orders, its about taking initiative on actual client work, that is steeped in cultural trends & influence.  As a team and as individuals, we also are guided by MSL’s three values: Leading, Learning and Loving.

Leading– Leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about behavior, accountability and drive.

Learning– We believe in possibilities and embrace lifetime learners who thrive when they are stretching, building, and innovating.

Loving– Some say love doesn’t have a place at work. We wholeheartedly disagree. Loving one another is just as important as loving what we do at MSL.

If you’ve read this far and you’re thinking this is for me – read on for some important details on how to get yourself in the mix:

Who can apply for the MSL 2023 Graduate Fellowship program?

We’re looking for students graduating in April/May 2023 with at least 35hours/week available, during typical business hours, 9AM-5PM. We’re focused on recent graduates because our fellowship is the #1 way we welcome post-graduate talent into our MSL family – just last summer, over 60% of our Fellows moved on to full-time employment with MSL.

Can I apply if I’m going to be a rising senior in June 2023?

Yes! While many of our spots will go to recent graduates on teams that are looking to convert their Fellows at the end of the program, we do still welcome applicants who will be heading into their senior year in the fall of 2023.

What are the dates of the program?

June 5, 2023 – August 11, 2023

Which cities will host post graduate fellows in 2023?

MSL has 8 offices throughout the US – New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, Detroit, Boston and Washington D.C., and we are recruiting for all locations at this time. Final Fellowship placements will be determined based on individual business needs.

Is the 2023 Graduate Fellowship in-person or virtual?

We anticipate the Fellowship program will be a hybrid program (a mix of in-person and virtual time) as it was with our 2022 program, but final details will be determined closer to the start of the program.

Is the 2023 Graduate Fellowship paid?

Yes! This is a full-time, paid fellowship at $18 per hour.

How I apply for the 2023 program?

Please submit a resume and cover letter specifying what city/discipline you are interested in to internship2023@mslgroup.com

Pew Research Center

Undergraduate Intern, Communications

Undergraduate Intern, Research

The summer undergraduate internship is a paid opportunity during the summer of 2023.  The internship begins June 5 and ends on or before August 25.  Interns are expected to work a minimum 30 hours/week and are paid $17/hour.  The internship is specifically for undergraduate students with an interest in public opinion, survey research, data science, data journalism, digital publication, or nonprofit administration.

Interns will have a variety of tasks, depending on the team they are assigned (for a full list of teams see the bottom of the page). For example, an intern on a research team may assist the research team on various aspects of the survey process, including questionnaire development, data management, statistical analysis, reporting of survey results and quality control. An intern on the digital team will learn Center workflows and assist in the production of visually compelling digital content to disseminate Pew Research Center’s findings and analysis to its key target audiences.

For all these tasks, attention to detail and individual judgment are critical in maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and impartiality.

Interns will work closely with staff. The internship provides opportunities to learn new skills and have a firsthand experience in data analysis and research production. In the summer of 2023, interns will work a hybrid schedule, working on-site in our Washington, DC office at least 2 days per week. A modest relocation stipend is available for candidates that need it.
