Responsibilities:
 
#1- Be Creative, have fun, give respect to all and shine! Ingest, understand and absorb our brand story/goals/mission. Participate in weekly marketing strategy overview sessions. Create/maintain shared google marketing calendar.

Generate marketing campaign concept pitches that align with the CLT brand.

Train/study and practice hands on advertiser and social media marketing platforms. Business level accounts and organic user accounts – TikTok, FB, Instagram

With supervisor participation, create and deploy approved ad/marketing campaigns.

Track, analyze and suggest campaign optimizations based on data you collect and present to supervisor. Engage the target user base with fun, memorable messaging/activities that are conversion oriented.

Create real world brand ambassador activities that serve specific call to action’s.

Develop focus group materials/surveys and gather target audience responses for presentation. Lead other team members during group efforts of content creation, pre-launch outreach, and local community efforts for brand awareness.

You are eligible to apply for an EBF Internship if you meet ALL of the following:

  • Are a student of color (Asian, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Multi-Racial)
  • Are a graduating high school senior OR an undergraduate college student (undergraduates graduating in Spring 2023 are eligible to apply)
  • Plan to attend or are currently a student at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university (This includes students who will transfer to a four-year accredited U.S. college or university in Spring 2023 or Fall 2023)
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
  • Are interested in pursuing a career in media and tech
  • Are a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident

Summer Media Intern, GroupM

Joining our ambitious global agency can give you the opportunity to shape the next era of media. GroupM is the world’s leading media investment company accounting for 30% of all media spending across 80 markets. Our award-winning operating agencies include Mindshare, EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker, Xaxis, Openmind, NEO, among our other specialty agencies.  We work closely with clients by providing them with research, data, and solutions needed to help them make advertising work better for people.

We are looking for interns who are just as passionate about media and advertising as we are. Our summer internships are a 10-week experiential learning opportunity that includes hands-on learning, engagement with industry professionals, mentorship, and exposure to global brands.

Your internship will be focused on one of the following areas: 

  • Media Planning: Learn the ropes of communication strategies across all media channels and working cross-functionally with teams.
  • Media Buying, Digital Investment, Programmatic: Develop an understanding of the client’s vision, collaboration, and negotiation skills needed to secure media.
  • Data Analytics: Get up to speed with collecting and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to create compelling stories for our clients.
  • Paid Search: Master paid advertising to ensure our client’s websites and ads are visible at the top of search engine results pages.
  • Paid Social: Navigate sponsored advertising content on third-party social networking platforms with the goal of targeting specific customers.
  • eCommerce: Pick up a basic understanding of data and technology used to determine media investments to drive online business growth.
  • Corporate: Gain organizational exposure that contributes to our agencies’ success and functions by supporting teams within Finance, Human Resources, and/or Marketing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • A 10-week full-time, paid internship working alongside other advertising enthusiasts to discover what media has to offer within one of our operating agencies.
  • You will be treated as a true member of your team and will work alongside them on actual projects for clients.
  • Analyzing data and trends. Using tools like Excel, MRI, ComScore, Tableau, and etc every day.
  • Collaborate on an internship project.
  • Work with a team to identify current challenges and develop solutions.
  • Awareness and preparation for full-time roles and a successful career trajectory at GroupM.
  • Great networking opportunities with industry professionals at all levels.

What you need to be successful:

  • In the process of building strong interpersonal, leadership skills, and have made a positive contribution in your previous work experience, class projects, community volunteer programs or other extracurricular activities.
  • Courage to explore new ways to solve a problem and can work well both independently and in a team.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated by data and trends and have previous experience using Excel.
  • A natural collaborator, you cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and/or peers.
  • You’re curious, helpful, and tenacious, and look for ways you can contribute by taking initiative.

Location & Timing:

  • NYC 100% in-person on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the possibility of remote on Mondays & Fridays
  • The 2023 Summer Program starts on June 6 and finishes on August 11. We have programs for rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores. 
  • In addition to our intern program, we have an externship program and a full-time Launch Pad program – we have multiple options for talented individuals to start a rewarding career in media and are happy to explore all of our programs with media enthusiasts.
