The summer 2023 internship program will run from June 5, 2023 – July 28, 2023.
Newsroom:
- Our interns will be exposed to the fast-paced environment of our newsroom, and the many stories we chase, write and cover for all platforms, including broadcast, digital and streaming.
- Interns will see how and why we decide to cover and write stories, make editorial calls, and cover press conferences, among many other tasks.
- Work closely with the assignment desk, editors, producers, digital team and anchors to create and pitch compelling stories.
- Join our reporters and photographers for in-the-field production.
- Participate in ad hoc projects throughout the newsroom.
Qualifications:
- Currently attending an accredited college, all majors/minors are welcome.
- Must be a junior or senior in Fall 2023.
- Must be available to work full-time (4 days a week) during internship period
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a face-paced team environment.
- This is an in-person internship, must be within a commutable distance of NYC.

Hourly Pay Range: $16.00 – 20.00.
Ad Strategy & Ops Data Intern – Yahoo Creative Studio

Responsibilities
Throughout the internship, interns will have a direct manager, and will be given a work experience similar to current full-time employees. This can include end-to-end creative data & analytics work, creative project management, collaboration with internal team members, participating in 1:1s and presenting work and contributions to leadership.
The goal for each successful candidate will be to enhance skills in analytics, knowledge of digital advertising, understanding ad builds and formats , communication, and teamwork. Interns will be held accountable to their project goals, and will make an end-of-summer presentation regarding their experience and work completed.
Intern Responsibilities Can Include:
- Review Monthly Ad Performance to ensure accurate tracking and implementation across different internal systems and technology
- Prepare Ad Performance data for Monthly Benchmark Dashboards
- Prepare Ad Performance data to review for creative analysis
- Analyze Ad Data and Ads to help determine new creative best practices
- Add best practices & insights to presentations and documentation
- Other Creative Ad Strategy & Ops projects as they become available
Qualifications
● Current or graduating student at an accredited college or university
● Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
● Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Data Studio, Google Suite
● Analytical and highly organized individual
● Excellent communication skills in writing and verbally
● Strong attention to detail
Can be Remote but Preferred Locations for Potential to Collaborate Internally: Omaha,NE, Baltimore, MD or Detroit, MI.
