Research Internships (Summer 2024, Hybrid- NYC)

College students, start your career at the forefront of culture and conversation and work for entertainment’s most iconic brands! Our Summer Internship Program offers endless ways to explore careers through an immersive 10-week, well-rounded paid program that encourages students to bring their passions and insights to work. Most importantly, the program acts as a pipeline for future opportunities.

Research teams at Paramount analyze and interpret viewing behavior and content consumption across multiple platforms including linear television, social/digital and streaming services. Research provides key stakeholders with data-driven recommendations and viewing trends to help them make informed decisions. Such stakeholders include Programming, Production & Development, Marketing, Press and Senior Leadership. Research teams use both quantitative and qualitative methods to develop an understanding of each network’s target audience.

Areas of research include, but are not limited to:

  • Linear Analytics- domestic and international television analytics based primarily on Nielsen ratings
  • Social/Digital Analytics- measures our content’s performance on social media, partner platforms and owned/operated sites
  • Consumer Insights- utilizes qualitative means such as focus groups, surveys and brand awareness tracking

Several of these areas have a cross-pollination of multiplatform tracking and measurement, and also incorporate strategic insights to tell data-driven stories.
